Handwerk & Design Munich: a key experience in my international journey
A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to take part as an exhibitor at Handwerk & Design Munich, one of the most relevant events in Europe within the fields of contemporary craftsmanship, design, and material innovation.
Being part of this event has marked a significant step in the internationalization of my project. Not only because of the visibility that a context like Munich offers, but also due to the quality of the professional audience—gallerists, specialized retailers, and fellow makers—with whom meaningful and lasting connections are created.
During the fair, I presented my contemporary jewelry collections in glass and metal to a highly specialized audience, genuinely interested in processes, materials, and conceptual approach. These kinds of spaces allow the work to be understood in depth, beyond the final object, also valuing the material research and the unique language behind each piece.
Moreover, the experience has been deeply enriching on both a personal and professional level. Sharing space with international artists and designers opens new perspectives, inspires, and reinforces the direction of one’s work. These exchanges are essential to continue evolving and positioning contemporary craftsmanship within a global context.
I would especially like to highlight that this participation was made possible thanks to the support of the Diputación de Huelva, through a grant aimed at facilitating حضور at international events. Initiatives like this are key for independent projects like mine to access high-level platforms and continue growing beyond our borders.
Returning from Munich not only means coming back with new contacts, but also with greater clarity about the path ahead, new opportunities, and renewed motivation to keep developing this project with even more strength.
Moving forward.
